Last month we felled a large Beech tree in Sawston, Cambridgeshire. The tree, unfortunately, had a wood rotting fungi (Ganoderma Applanatum) and was deemed unsafe by the local tree officer and permission was granted for it to be felled. Last month we were in Hilton, Cambridgeshire reducing a Silver Birch tree. The tree was starting to cause shading to the neighbouring property so the owners asked for it the be reduced. We try to avoid reducing trees where we can but agreed a reduction and a crown thin was suitable on this occasion.
