A few months ago we were on the A141 off of Spittals roundabout, in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. We were working for SKANSKA, in conjunction with ADC Drainage. We were faced with the task of clearing the drainage ditches either side of the dual carriageway. There were multiple large Willow trees which had thrived on the amount of water available due to the blocked drains!
After two weeks of extensive tree surgery and stump grinding, we were able to clear the ditches and drains. All safety precautions were taken to ensure the safety of our team and the traffic around us. Slip roads were shut from 9:30am to 3pm to ensure we had ample, safe space in which to work in.
SKANSKA were very pleased with the end result.
