Felling a large Oak tree in Hardwick, Cambridgeshire.

Last week we were in Hardwick near Cambridge, felling a large Oak tree which had split down the centre! The tree was considered a danger and needed to be removed urgently. As you can see from the picture, there wasn't a central leading limb, due to the trunk having split down the centre....this in turn made it much more of a challenge to work on the tree. Luckily, I have many years of climbing experience and I really love a challenge!

The wood was then cut into manageable sizes for the customer to use for firewood.

The tree was felled within the day and both gardens were left, as usual, as we found them.
