Emergency work at Bassingbourn Hospital!

We recently undertook an emergency job (excuse the pun!) in the grounds of Bassingbourn hospital, Royston.

We were confronted with an extremely large Ash tree. One huge limb had completely failed and broken off, landing on another large limb, causing this limb to split.

We used specific lowering techniques to ensure that both of these large limbs were lowered down safely, to avoid damaging surrounding buildings.

We always take health and safety extremely seriously but due to the nature of the job and the fact that we were working in the hospital grounds, we made sure that we were extremely vigilant.

We also used walkie talkies, to ensure communication at all times.

Check out the video of how we lowered the limbs safely here!
