Reducing a Weeping Willow and a Horse Chestnut in Caxton, Cambridgeshire.

Last week we were in Caxton, Cambridgeshire, reducing two large trees. One of them being a Weeping Willow, which was quite healthy and just in need of some minor tree work and TLC. The tree was reduced and thinned by carefully removing selected branches. All dead wood and crossing branches were also removed. The tree was completed by in 3 hours and we were soon onto the next one!

The Horse Chestnut pictured below, had extensive die back in the crown plus the disease Bleeding Canker (click the link below for more information on the disease if you suspect your Horse Chestnut tree may be infected.

The tree was reduced heavily in order to make it safe as it is situated on a public footpath, so safety was obviously the primary objective. The tree was completed in the day as planned. The logs were left for the customer to use on their open fire!
