Felling a large Beech tree in Sawston, Cambridgeshire

May 8, 2017

Last month we felled a large Beech tree in Sawston, Cambridgeshire. The tree, unfortunately, had a wood rotting fungi (Ganoderma Applanatum) and was deemed unsafe by the local tree officer and permission was granted for it to be felled. The tree was dismantled within the day and the trunk was left standing for removal the following day. A crane lorry was organised to remove the remaining stem and large timber. The stump was then ground down so it could be gravelled over to extend the driveway.

Our quote was accepted over two others, the tree was completed on schedule and the customer was very pleased with the work.
